I have a random question, because I feel like you too would be thinking about this/maybe know? Idk...

Do you thing that Mutant Mayhem is going to be Mikey-centric? Because I feel like in so many of the clips we have seen he is front and center in some way, and we haven't really seen that in any other tmnt variation... like him protecting Donnie, or his questions about humans and when confronting the mighty mutanimals... idk. Part of it could be about just the premise of it (that they want to be accepted and Mikey is the most curious about that), or just that this is more equal in screen time for all the brothers?

Again, random thought but I've been thinking about it A Lot and I thought you might have additions 👁️ 👁️

oh that is interesting! and i’ll admit, it has been a little thought hanging about in the back of my mind..

i think in short, since it’s an introduction to a whole new verse of turtles, it probably won’t lean too heavy on one turtle. buuuuut then again, like you said, we have been getting a lot of mikey shots, mikey lines or dialogue, mikey everything, which for me is like the best thing ever! because when do we EVER get any mikey centric movies lol (thinking about the lost 2007 sequel with sad puppy eyes)

i think also it’s very evident of certain creators and their favourite characters. i might be wrong in remembering this but i think the 2003 writers seemed to really like donnie a lot, hence why they always kinda sent him through the wringer. it’s a writer thing, through and through, you’re gonna treat your fave lil guy as your emotional punching bag. and then the same as the 2012 writers and leo - that boy was going through Things.

and during the 80s show mikey was the “stoner guy” the “college roommate guy” which just… screams seth rogan to me. if this guy had ANY favourite turtle it’s super likely it’s our mike

again, they’ll probably, and hopefully, dedicate enough screen time to each of the brothers but dividing the main character role between four characters is hard. somebody has gotta be the rock in all of that. and it’s due time that they let mikey be that rock :)

i think we should remind musicians they can absolutely make up little stories for their songs btw. it doesn’t have to be about them at all. you can invent a guy and put him in situations to music. time honoured tradition in fact.

I just think everyone should take a moment to consider the question "what is your visual shorthand for cruelty?" and then follow it up with a critical "and who taught you that?"

specific examples include but are not limited to

why is an evil timeline character design disabled? (why do the heroes go through equally punishing battles and never lose an arm, a leg, an eye?)

why are the futuristic scifi terrorists uniformly darker skinned? (why are the heroes so much lighter?)

why is the greedy boss fat? (why are the heroes skinny?)

why is the criminal mastermind heavily scarred? (why is the brooding, traumatized hero unscathed?)

why is the predatory creep a bearded person in a dress and makeup? (why are none of the heroes trans women?)

who taught you that this is how things are?

how long do you plan on repeating it?

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
